Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

This page explains the cookies used on Recipes by Tyla (recipesbytyla.com) and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are set by this site (first-party cookies). Others are set by services we use, such as Google or Microsoft (third-party cookies). Similar technologies, such as local storage, are covered by this policy too.

How consent works here

When you first visit, a CookieYes banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Only strictly necessary cookies run without your consent. Your choice is passed to Google tags through Google Consent Mode v2, so Google Analytics and Google ads respect it.

Cookie categories

Necessary (always on)

Required for the site to load, stay secure and remember your cookie choice. They do not track you for advertising.

  • CookieYes: stores your consent choice (for example, the cookieyes-consent cookie).
  • Cloudflare: security and bot-protection cookies (for example, __cf_bm). This includes Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the contact and newsletter forms from spam.
  • LiteSpeed Cache: may set a technical cookie so the correct cached version of a page is served.

Functional

Remember choices you make, such as closing the newsletter pop-up, and support features provided by third parties, such as saving a recipe to Pinterest. If you turn these off, some of those features may not work as expected.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve recipes and pages.

  • Google Analytics 4 (through Google Site Kit): counts visits, traffic sources and popular pages (for example, _ga and _ga_*).
  • Microsoft Clarity: session recordings and heatmaps showing clicks and scrolling (for example, _clck, _clsk and MUID).

Performance

Collect information about how quickly and reliably pages load. We do not currently set performance cookies of our own. If a service we use places one, it appears under this category in the cookie settings panel, where you can switch it off.

Used to show ads and measure them.

  • Google AdSense and Google’s DoubleClick cookie (for example, __gads, __gpi and IDE): third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Amazon: our Amazon affiliate links do not set cookies on this site. If you click through, Amazon sets its own cookies on amazon.com to credit the referral.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info.

The cookie settings panel shows the full, current list of cookies in each category, with their names and how long they last.

How to change your consent

  • On this site: use the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page to reopen the consent panel. You can switch categories on or off, or withdraw consent entirely, at any time.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block all cookies, parts of the site may not work, and the banner will ask for your choice again.
  • For ads: use Google’s Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info, linked above.
