Hi, I’m Tyla, the cook behind Recipes by Tyla
I’m a home cook, and recipesbytyla.com is where I collect quick, no-fuss recipes that fit a real weeknight.

I started this site for one reason: I was tired of scrolling past ten paragraphs and a life story just to find out how much flour I needed. Most nights I have about 30 minutes and one pan to work with, so the recipes here are built for exactly that. Clear steps, practical notes, and nothing fussy unless it’s genuinely worth it.
What’s on the site
- Weeknight dinners, many ready in about 30 minutes.
- Slow cooker meals, pork tenderloin, brisket and other easy comfort food.
- Salads, sides, and simple desserts.
- Ingredient lists with substitutions, step-by-step instructions, and notes on what to prep ahead and how to store leftovers.
How the recipes are put together
Recipes here are written with the help of AI writing tools, working from research into how each dish is commonly made. Before a recipe is published, it goes through automated checks: USDA safe internal temperatures, food-safe storage guidance, and ingredient lists and times that match the steps. Many of the photos are AI-generated illustrations rather than photos of a finished batch.
When a step matters, the recipe explains why. When there’s a shortcut that doesn’t ruin the dish, it says so. And when something tends to go wrong, like a sauce that splits or dough that won’t rise, the fix goes right in the post.
My cooking philosophy
- Keep ingredients accessible and affordable. Weeknight food shouldn’t need a special trip.
- Use straightforward methods that work in a home kitchen.
- Put flavor and repeatable results ahead of anything fancy.
I’d rather give you one reliable recipe you’ll make twenty times than twenty you’ll never touch.
